Student Travel Support

Travel support and lodging is available to advanced undergraduate and junior graduate physics students or students who are in related areas.The travel support generally includes air travel to and from Brownsville, lodging and/or per diem expenses. Even though travel support is for US students only, foreigner students are encouraged to apply for a limited number of partial scholarships. Travel support will not cover ground transportation to and from the airport or visa expenses for international students.

Please send your completed application packet before March 27, 2009. Mark in the registration form that you are applying for travel support. Late applications will only be accepted under special circumstances. Selected candidates will be informed via email in mid-April.

Please make sure that you provide a working email address and that it is the one that you check frequently.

• Seven to ten days after the GWA summer school takes place, CGWA will reimburse the cost of the airline ticket up to $600.00.
• Two students will be lodged in each hotel room. The cost of the room and any applicable taxes are covered.
• Per diem expenses will be covered at a rate of $20.00 per day.

Airport: Brownsville South Padre Island International Airport (BRO) is the closest airport to South Padre Island.
